“We are going to Porto, but just for the day—and to enjoy ourselves.”
That was the first thing Yasmina told me when we agreed to do their first pre-wedding session in Porto. Why Porto? Yasmina and David were unsure where to choose, but when she explained that Porto was a very special place for them, full of memories and somewhere they had escaped to time and time again since their first trip together, there was no longer any doubt. Destination… Porto!
And once we had decided, the first thing she told me was that we were not going only to take photographs—we were going to enjoy ourselves eating and drinking. And that is exactly what happened!
Yasmina’s friend Ana picked Eliška and me up early in the morning so we could set off on our journey to Porto. After picking up David too, the adventure began!
The drive was great fun as we listened to and “sang” along to the best of Estopa. We arrived in a sunny, hot Porto waiting for us. To cool down—and not contradict Yasmina—we went for a few beers, then some sangria, then tried to find somewhere to eat. Finally, while letting lunch settle, we started taking the first photographs… before heading to a winery to taste delicious port wine, OBVIOUSLY! 😍
The result is below: natural photographs of David and Yasmina enjoying a day in Porto. It is also everything a pre-wedding session should be: a report that helps us get to know each other, helps you lose your fear of the camera and shows that you can trust me. So if you need to worry about anything on the wedding day, at least you will know it will not be me.
