Post-Wedding in a Czech Forest

Retrato de la novia durante su sesión de postboda con gesto sorprendido

The post-wedding shoot in the forest for Honza and Kristýna is quite unusual. We normally do post-wedding shoots when you return from your honeymoon. By then you have had time to recover from the wedding celebration, and you will also be very “zen” after disconnecting in whichever place you chose for your honeymoon.

In their case we had to bring it forward slightly. And by slightly, I really mean that we had to do it the very day after the wedding because, barely two days after the wedding, I had to leave the Czech Republic and return to Spain for the next wedding.

Kristýna and Honza got ready, just as they had the day before, once again in their beautiful home in the centre of Olomouc. This time it was Eliška who helped Kristýna with her hair and makeup.

The setting they chose for the post-wedding shoot could not have meant more to them, and especially to Honza. No, it is not only a beautiful, immense forest where they have probably walked a thousand and one times; it is Honza’s forest. Yes, the forest belongs to his family, and he grew up running among its enormous trees.

I still think the light there is different, whether it is cloudy or a warm sunny day like the one that accompanied us that afternoon. Even in a forest, beneath thousands upon thousands of branches, the light is different. I hate it when I want to explain something and cannot, when I am short of words or simply cannot support it with good arguments… But since it is something I see and feel, and cannot describe, I leave you below with a summary of Honza and Kristýna’s post-wedding shoot in the Czech Republic.

How would you feel about having your post-wedding shoot in the forest? Or do you picture yourselves more on horseback? Or perhaps among unicorns, cows and a pineapple?
